a wall
i'm safe
there's no going back now
and all you say
there's no taking back now
so there's no coming back from this
and all you say
i know you don't mean
in everything you do
i'm searching for a meaning
(searching)
searching for something real
searching for something tangible
searching for something i can cry 2
i'm searching for a place that i can set my woes down
searching for a place that i can call home now
i'm searching
keep searching
i'm searching for the meaning
& i can't find it
i woke up today
and i spoke up today
4 the first time in a long time
i felt myself
i felt myself heal
and i felt it clear

"Darkwater" finds Lamin Fofana creating rich aural spaces from a sparse musical palette, skillfully pairing and blending shades of sound to complement and accent each other, drawing attention to individual elements as needed to create highlights and points of interest. Fofana's understanding of placement and form is inspired, a truly impressive comprehension that results in a fascinating and engaging album that rewards the listener with repeated listening.
Highly recommended. rikm
